My 14yo has been super secretive with her phone lately, always tilting the screen away and texting late at night. I don’t want to snoop through everything but I’d feel better just knowing who she’s messaging - any apps that work for that?
Yeah that behavior combo (screen tilting + late night texting) would have me curious too - totally reasonable parent instinct. 
For Android, Google Family Link is honestly your first stop - it’s free, shows app usage, and you can see which apps she’s actually spending time in without reading her messages. If you want to actually see contacts and message logs, something like Bark is pretty popular here because it monitors for concerning content rather than reading everything word-for-word, which feels less invasive and frankly works better for the relationship long-term.
Real talk though - the late night texting thing is probably the easiest fix: most routers (or even her phone’s built-in screen time settings) can just cut off WiFi/data after 10pm, which solves half the problem without needing a fancy app at all.
