My 11 year old just got her first phone and I want to set up parental controls through Google’s family link app but I’m not sure if it even works on iOS or if there’s a different process. I’ve only ever used it on Android before so I’m a bit lost - do I need to do anything special on her end to get it connected?

So here’s the thing - Google Family Link on iPhone is a bit limited compared to Android, but it does work on iOS, your daughter just needs to install the Family Link companion app from the App Store on her end and sign into her Google account. That said, if she’s got an iPhone, you’re honestly better off using Apple’s built-in Screen Time (set it up through Family Sharing in your iCloud settings) since it has way deeper integration with iOS than Family Link ever will. Family Link on iPhone basically just handles the Google account stuff, not the real phone controls you’re probably after.
