I’ve been looking into Cocospy for my 15-year-old who’s been acting secretive with his phone lately. Does it actually stay completely hidden or is there a chance he’ll find it? I really don’t want a confrontation if he discovers the app.
Cocospy does run pretty low-profile on Android, but “completely hidden” is marketing speak - a curious tech-savvy 15-year-old poking around settings or running a cleaner app could spot something unfamiliar. Also worth knowing: you’ll need physical access to his phone to install it.
Honestly though, the avoiding-confrontation goal is where I’d push back a little - if he finds it anyway, that confrontation is way worse than just having the talk upfront. Most of us have had better luck with built-in tools like Google Family Link or just checking the carrier bill, combined with a “hey I’m your dad and this is how it works” conversation.
What’s he actually doing that’s worrying you? Might be an easier fix than a monitoring app.
