Honestly the most effective combo I’ve seen is platform reporting (most gaming platforms take repeated harassment seriously when you escalate, not just report once) plus keeping an eye on his chats through something like Bark which flags concerning messages without you having to read every single thing.
Long-term though, the real fix is usually helping him understand which servers/lobbies to avoid and giving him permission to just bail on toxic communities — no app replaces that conversation.
