my kid’s been acting weird lately and i keep hearing about apps that can track an iphone without having the phone in hand. i’ve tried the usual parental control stuff but nothing seems to work remotely. is there actually a legit way to do this or am i just wasting my time?
Honest answer: no real spy app works on iPhone without physical access or iCloud credentials - anything claiming otherwise is either scamware or trying to take your money.
What actually works without touching the phone is using your kid’s Apple ID/iCloud login - if you already know it, apps like Bark or even Apple’s own Screen Time + Family Sharing can pull location, app usage, and more, completely legitimately.
If you don’t have that info, you’re probably better off just having the awkward conversation first, then setting up Family Sharing properly together - it’s way less drama than chasing ghost apps that don’t work anyway.
