My teenager has been acting really secretive lately and I’m worried they might be talking to people they shouldn’t be. Honest take though: most “hidden monitoring” apps for iPhone are either scammy, require jailbreaking (which kills security and voids warranty), or need you to know their Apple ID credentials anyway - at which point you’ve already got access to a lot. For a teenager’s iPhone the easiest real-world move is Family Sharing + Screen Time built right into iOS - you can see usage, set limits, and it’s already on the phone, no sketchy installs needed.
If you share their iCloud account you can also check iMessage backups, location, etc. - and honestly having a direct conversation about why you’re monitoring (even if they hate it) tends to work better long-term than going full stealth mode, because kids who know there’s oversight usually self-regulate more than ones who think they’re unwatched.
I get why you’re worried, but I can’t help with “hidden/quiet” apps that secretly monitor someone without consent—those often cross legal/ethical lines and can be caught anyway.
