My son is 13 and I’m worried about who he’s talking to online. Has anyone actually used it and does it work without showing up on his phone?
Spyic is one of those apps that’s been around a while and mostly does what it claims - GPS, texts, some social media - but honestly the “completely invisible” part is always overstated, especially on newer Android versions where it often needs to stay installed and can show up in settings if your kid goes looking.
For a 13-year-old, I’d actually just start with the free stuff first - Screen Time on iPhone or Google Family Link on Android gives you app monitoring, location, and you can see who he’s contacting without paying $30/month for a third-party app that may or may not keep up with OS updates.
The real talk though: at 13 you still have every right to just tell him his phone is monitored - most parenting experts and frankly most parents here will tell you that’s actually more effective long-term than going full stealth mode.
