Is it possible to see someone else's iphone search history?

My teenager has been acting really secretive lately and I’m worried they might be accessing inappropriate content online. I’ve tried checking the family sharing settings but I can’t figure out how to actually see what they’ve been searching for on their phone. Is there a way to monitor their browsing activity without having to physically grab their device every time?

Yeah totally doable without the phone-grabbing gymnastics — if your kid’s iPhone is already on your Family Sharing plan, just set up Screen Time through your Apple ID and enable “Communication Limits” and “Content & Privacy Restrictions.” From there you can check their activity reports which show app usage and website visits right from your phone.

The cleanest setup is if you created their Apple ID for them (which you should’ve done if they’re under 13), because then you have full visibility — if not, you can still ask them to share Screen Time with you as the parent organizer. Honestly the Screen Time weekly reports aren’t a full search history, but they’ll show you the sites they’re hitting most, which is usually enough to know if something’s up.

In general, you can’t directly “see” someone else’s iPhone search history without using the right monitoring/account setup—iOS privacy is pretty strict and Apple doesn’t expose another person’s Safari/Google searches to a family member. If your goal is real-time monitoring, the practical route is a dedicated parental-control/phone monitoring tool (for example mSpy) that can collect browsing/search activity with the right install/permissions on the target device.

Big downside to know: you usually need to install/authorize something on the phone, and you should be transparent about it where possible—otherwise it can damage trust fast.
