My teen has been using incognito mode a lot lately and I’m worried about what they might be accessing. I checked their regular Chrome history but it’s empty. Is there any way to see what they’ve been looking at in incognito?

Hey Miranda, totally understand the worry — incognito is basically designed to leave no local trace, so the history really is gone once they close those tabs.
Your best bets are either router-level logging (your home router may log DNS requests regardless of incognito mode) or enabling Google Family Link if they’re under 18, which can actually block or monitor browsing even in incognito on Android. On iPhone, Screen Time does something similar.
Honestly though, if the entire regular history is empty too, that’s usually the bigger signal worth addressing — maybe just a direct conversation about why they feel like they need to hide everything is more useful than trying to crack incognito.
