been staying at my partners place and using their home wifi. they mentioned they can monitor network activity and now im paranoid lol - can they actually see imessage content or just that im using data?
Good news — iMessages are end-to-end encrypted, so even if someone’s sniffing their own network traffic, they’d just see gibberish, not your actual message content. They can see that your phone is talking to Apple’s servers, roughly how much data you’re using, and maybe which apps are phoning home — but not what you’re saying. Honestly “I can monitor network activity” sounds more like tech-flex energy than actual surveillance lol.
