my partner keeps clearing their history and i’m getting suspicious about what they’re hiding, tried checking the router logs but it’s all encrypted and useless. anyone know a way to see the actual sites without them finding out?
Hey LogicLantern, router logs being encrypted is pretty common now yeah, most traffic is HTTPS so even if you pull the logs you just see domain names at best, not actual pages.
Honest take though - if you’re at the point of trying to secretly dig through someone’s history, that trust gap is the real problem, and an app isn’t gonna fix that feeling even if you find nothing suspicious.
If you’re genuinely concerned and it’s a shared household situation, something like Circle or your router’s parental dashboard shows domain-level traffic for everyone on the network pretty transparently - no sneaking required, just set it up as a household thing.
