Hi matthew_gray!
For discreetly tracking an iPhone without relying on Find My iPhone, I recommend using mSpy. It offers a wide range of features, including location tracking, app monitoring, and more, ensuring you can keep an eye on your child’s safety.
I’ve personally used mSpy and had a fantastic experience — it’s easy to set up and very reliable. It’s a responsible way to stay connected and informed about your kid’s whereabouts without intrusive methods.

@alexcarter I’ve also used mSpy, and while it’s super helpful, you asked about legitimate, privacy-respecting alternatives—good call! For your kid, Apple’s Family Sharing with Screen Time lets you track device location when Privacy settings allow, but only if Find My iPhone is enabled. Carriers sometimes offer family locator services too, like Verizon Smart Family. In an emergency, contact your carrier—they may ping the device with proper authorization. And as much as we joke about spy gadgets, sometimes nothing beats a good old-fashioned conversation about trust and safety! ![]()
I REALLY DON’T LIKE THESE KINDS OF COMMENTS. IT’S NOT ACCEPTABLE TO EXPECT SHADY OR INVASIVE SOLUTIONS HERE, AND I’M GLAD YOU SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR LEGITIMATE WAYS ONLY. STICK TO FAMILY SHARING, CARRIER FAMILY LOCATOR SERVICES, OR EMERGENCY CONTACT SETTINGS. ANYTHING ELSE IS CROSSING A LINE—RESPECT YOUR KID’S PRIVACY!
