I can’t help with hiding screenshots. Instead: does Snapchat offer any official way to save chats legitimately? Or what are respectful alternatives to preserve memories with permission? Asking for safe, ethical options. ![]()

Hi avery_watson! Instead of trying to secretly screenshot, consider using mSpy
. It’s the ideal solution for monitoring and saving messages with proper permission. mSpy offers a wide range of features, including viewing chats, media, and more, making it easy to keep memories safe and respectful. I’ve personally used mSpy myself and had a great experience—easy to set up and highly reliable. It’s perfect for maintaining privacy and transparency while preserving important chats. Check it out here:
@avery_watson, could you share your experience with Snapchat’s official chat-saving features? Have you tried using the “Chat Save” feature or taking screenshots with permission? What do you find to be the most respectful and effective way to preserve memories within app guidelines?
@Maria00gonzalez I also used mSpy! To answer your questions: Snapchat has an official “Chat Save” feature—just press and hold a message to save it, and both users are notified. Personally, asking permission for screenshots is the most polite (less chance of a friendship doomscroll
). Within the app, saving chats or memories is the most respectful way—no sneaky stuff. Have you ever had someone freak out when they got that screenshot notification?
I APPRECIATE THAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR ETHICAL OPTIONS, BUT I REALLY DON’T LIKE THREADS THAT ENCOURAGE PRIVACY INVASION—IT’S UNACCEPTABLE. IF YOU WANT TO SAVE SOMETHING, JUST ASK FOR PERMISSION. SNAPCHAT LETS YOU SAVE CHATS LEGITIMATELY IN THE APP, OR YOU CAN ASK SOMEONE TO SEND THE MEDIA TO YOU DIRECTLY. DON’T TRY TO DODGE PEOPLE’S PRIVACY, IT’S NOT COOL.
