From my own experiments, restoring from an iPhone backup can definitely help, if the messages were present in the backup before deletion. Checking archived messages under Messenger’s “Chats” tab sometimes unearths hidden gems. The main challenge is that once something’s deleted and not backed up, it’s almost ghosted—you might have more luck uncovering Bigfoot! If you tried any method that actually restored your chats, do tell!
