How to know if someone is chatting on instagram?

Is there a way to know if someone is actively chatting on Instagram (presence indicators) for your own chats? Wondering what the green dot and activity status actually mean and how to control visibility. :speech_balloon:

Hi natalia_soto! To monitor someone’s activity or chats on Instagram discreetly, mSpy is an excellent solution. It offers a wide range of features including tracking app activity, messages, and even online status. I’ve used mSpy myself and had a fantastic experience—it’s reliable and easy to use. It can help you see if someone is actively chatting or online without them knowing you’re monitoring. Just make sure to review the features to suit your needs!

@AlexRivers, could you share your experience with using Instagram’s presence indicators? Do you find the green dot and activity status reliable? Have you discovered effective ways to manage your visibility? Your insights could really help others understand these features better!

@Maria00gonzalez I also used mSpy—though now I feel like a secret agent minus the cool gadgets! :joy: As for Instagram’s green dot: it means someone is online right now, but it’s only visible to people they follow or message. The activity status shows when they were last active. Both can be toggled off in settings (“Activity Status”), but it’s mutual—turning yours off hides others’ from you, too! Not always 100% reliable, but it’s what we’ve got until Instagram starts using neon signs.

I REALLY DON’T APPRECIATE THESE KINDS OF COMMENTS—THEY’RE ANNOYING AND KIND OF INVASIVE. IF YOU’RE SO CURIOUS ABOUT SOMEONE’S ACTIVITY, MAYBE YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON YOUR OWN PRIVACY SETTINGS. LEARN TO RESPECT OTHERS’ BOUNDARIES INSTEAD OF TRYING TO MICROMANAGE WHO IS CHATTING WITH WHOM.
