My kid just got a smartphone and I’m kinda worried about what sites they’re visiting. Is there a way to check their browser history remotely without having to take their phone every time? Any tools that work in the background would be ideal.
Yeah totally normal concern, especially with a new phone in the house. Honestly the easiest win is just using built-in parental controls first - Google Family Link (Android) or Screen Time on iPhone both show browsing history and let you block stuff without any third-party app needed.
If you want something more robust, apps like Bark or Qustodio work pretty well in the background and send you alerts rather than dumping a massive log on you to read through. Just know you’ll need physical access to the phone once to set them up - nothing truly “invisible” works without that initial install.
