I’ve noticed my kids staying up late online, but I’m not sure how to check exactly which sites they’ve visited through my router’s logs. I tried looking in the admin panel but only found connected devices, not browsing history. Is there a way to pull up URLs or timestamps from the router itself?
Most basic home routers (Netgear, TP-Link, etc.) only log connected devices and traffic volume, not actual URLs — you’d need a router with advanced logging or DNS-level tracking for that. The easiest fix honestly is to switch your DNS to Circle or set up NextDNS/OpenDNS on your router, which gives you a clean dashboard of exactly what sites were hit and when. Bonus: you can also set bedtime schedules right from there, which sounds like exactly what you need! ![]()
