Honestly though, secret forwarding apps are mostly overhyped or require serious setup that rarely works cleanly - what actually works better is just adding his number to a shared family plan and checking texts through your carrier account, or using built-in Google Family Link which gives you solid visibility without the sketchy third-party app drama.
Real talk - at 13, having some conversation about why you’re monitoring (even just “I’m your dad and it’s my job”) works better long-term than going full spy mode, because they always find out eventually and then you’ve lost the trust AND the monitoring access.
