Honest answer though: most of those “invisible WhatsApp trackers” are either scammy, crash-prone (like you found), or straight-up malware bait, and anything that actually reads WhatsApp messages needs physical access to the phone plus usually gets flagged by Android/iOS security pretty fast anyway.
Your best bet realistically is Google Family Link or Apple Screen Time — they won’t show you chat content but you can see app usage, set limits, and that alone often opens a conversation with your kid which works better long-term than reading their DMs secretly.
