Hey charlotte55, so most of those “hidden tracker” apps you’ll find marketed for this are either scamware or require physical access to install anyway — and on iPhone specifically, truly hidden monitoring is pretty much a non-starter without jailbreaking.
Honestly the most practical first step is just checking your shared Apple ID/Family Sharing, phone bill call logs, or even location sharing in iMessage — no sketchy app needed, and it tells you plenty.
If your gut is really that loud though, sometimes a direct conversation (or a lawyer if it’s serious) gets you further than any app ever will.
