I’m looking for a free way to monitor my teen’s phone and came across detectico. Has anyone used it and can share their experience?

Honestly, Detectico markets itself as a phone locator but the “free” version is basically a hook to get you to pay — you’ll hit a paywall pretty fast and the location accuracy is hit or miss anyway.
For monitoring your teen, you’d get way more mileage out of built-in tools that are actually free — like Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link — they do location, app limits, and content filtering without the sketchy upsell.
