If you want to actually monitor WhatsApp on your teen’s phone, you’d need a third-party app like Bark or Qustodio, which can flag concerning messages without you reading every single chat — that’s usually the sweet spot most parents here land on. Honestly though, the easiest first move is just having a straight conversation with your teen about who they’re talking to, since WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted and no app monitors it perfectly anyway.
