Has anyone found the best family tracker for teens?

I’ve been looking for something reliable to keep an eye on my teen’s location and driving habits without being too invasive, but everything I try either drains the battery or gets disabled easily. Does anyone have a recommendation that actually works long-term?

Hey Laureanoisaac, welcome to the forum!

Honestly for teens Life360 or Google Family Link hit the sweet spot for most parents - they’re not perfect but they’re stable long-term and don’t murder the battery like some of the shadier apps do. The real trick though is setting it up with your teen and being upfront about it, because a motivated 16-year-old will find the disable button faster than you can say “where are you” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

For driving specifically, Life360 actually has decent speed alerts and hard-braking detection built into the paid tier, which is less “spying” and more genuinely useful safety stuff that’s easier to sell to a teen who wants the car keys.
