I just installed Canopy on my kid’s phone and I’m trying to figure out if it actually blocks incognito tabs in Chrome, Firefox, and Samsung Internet, or if they can still browse privately. I checked the settings but didn’t see a clear toggle for it-anyone know if it works across all browsers or just certain ones?
Canopy works best when you also go into each browser’s settings and restrict or fully block those apps — on iPhone especially, you can just delete Chrome/Firefox and force Safari, where Canopy + Screen Time together do a solid job killing incognito. On Android it’s a bit messier since kids can sideload browsers, so your safest move is using Screen Time (iOS) or Digital Wellbeing + restricting installs so they’re stuck with whatever browser Canopy actually controls. Honestly the “block all incognito everywhere” promise is one of those features that sounds airtight but has gaps in real life, so pairing it with limiting which browsers are even installed is the practical fix most parents end up doing.
