I’ve got a teen who’s always on their phone and I’m looking for options that offer strong end-to-end encryption. Are there any solid choices that are actually private?
Honestly for teens, Signal is the gold standard for actual E2E encryption - it’s legit, open source, and not owned by Meta or anyone sketchy. That said, if you’re the parent and privacy is the concern, you might want to look at this from both angles - like are you trying to give them a private app, or keep tabs on what they’re doing? Those are pretty different problems with pretty different solutions!
