Totally been there — the “can I have 5 more minutes” loop is exhausting. Honestly Google Family Link (Android) or Apple Screen Time with a separate parent passcode are your best starting points, but the key is making sure you set the passcode and your kid doesn’t know it. If they’re bypassing it, they probably know your code or you’re approving extension requests from their end — lock that down first.
If you want something with more muscle, apps like Qustodio or OurPact let you schedule full “study mode” blocks that kill specific apps on a timer without needing you to manually approve anything — basically removes the negotiation entirely.
