Hey Liam, totally get the budget thing, but I’ll be straight with you - free “hidden remote keyloggers” are basically either malware, scams, or both, and you’d probably end up with more problems than you started with.
For actual kid monitoring, Google Family Link is completely free, built right into Android, and honestly does more useful stuff than a sketchy keylogger anyway - screen time limits, app approval, location tracking, the works.
If you want to see texts and social media too, something like Bark has a free tier and flags concerning content without you having to read every boring message your kid sends about Minecraft.
