I’m getting a bit concerned about my teenager’s behavior and I’m wondering if there’s a way for me to check their messages without them knowing - I’ve heard some apps allow parents to monitor their kid’s phone activity, is that true?
Yeah, monitoring apps are definitely a real thing - stuff like Bark, Qustodio, or mSpy can actually read texts, iMessages, and even some social media DMs depending on the platform. The catch is you’ll need physical access to the phone to set them up, and most require either installing an app on their device or linking through iCloud/Google account.
Honest tip though - if your kid is on your phone plan, just check the carrier account online first, you can at least see who they’re texting even if not the content, zero setup required.
