worried about my kid staying up all night on their phone chatting with who knows who so i need to turn it off from afar without them noticing. anyone know how to do that or if it’s even possible?
Yeah totally get it, been there! Apple’s Screen Time built into iOS lets you set a downtime schedule that kicks in automatically every night - just go to Settings > Screen Time on their phone (or via Family Sharing from yours) and you can lock it down at bedtime without touching their device.
It won’t “turn off” the phone but it blocks apps and they can’t override it without your passcode, which honestly gets the job done.
