We are getting closer to MWC 2018 and Nokia is expected to launch several new Smartphones at the event on Feb 25.
Today we have a leaked image along with hardware details about the upcoming Nokia 7 Plus Android Smartphone, which will be one of the devices that will be announced during the event.
The images are actually presentation slides for the Smartphone and were leaked on Chinese site Baidu. The images give us a look at the Smartphone along with a few details on its hardware.
For starters, the device will feature a 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display with Full-HD+ resolution (2160×1080 pixels). This will be the first Nokia Smartphone to have an 18:9 display.
The device will have an Aluminium body with Ceramic coated edges and will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Powering the Smartphone will be the updated Snapdragon 660 chipset, instead of the Snapdragon 630 seen on the current Nokia 7 Smartphone.
The camera app will get a redesign in the Nokia 7 Plus and there will be a dual-camera setup from Zeiss in the rear of 12MP+13MP resolution. The secondary camera in the rear will be a telephoto lens for Portrait mode. The camera will also support 2x optical zoom. There will be a single Zeiss-made camera lens in the front of 16MP resolution.
There will be several software features added to the camera, which include a “Bothie” feature, which lets you use both the front and rear camera together while taking pictures.
Even though the battery capacity is unknown, it does support fast charging.
Another highly anticipated Nokia device expected to be launched at MWC 2018 is the Nokia 8 Sirocco (TA-1005), which will bring back the “Sirocco” series, which was earlier used as the branding for the Nokia 8800 Smartphone back in 2006. The TA-1005 model number was earlier hyped at Nokia 8, but now it seems like the device will end up being named Nokia 8 Sirocco.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco is expected to be a high-end Smartphone offering from Nokia with Snapdragon 835 processor, 5.5-inch OLED display, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage, Android 8.0 Oreo software and a 3250mAh battery.
The rear camera department is expected to be similar to the Nokia 7 Plus with a 12MP+13MP setup in the back and 16MP single camera in the front.
