Motorola is expected to launch the 2018 Moto G series Smartphones at MWC 2018.
The Moto G 2018 lineup will consist of 3 devices: the regular Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus, and Moto G6 Play.
Today, we have leaked GeekBench listing featuring specs of the upcoming Moto G6 Play, which is much likely a cheaper Moto G6 variant in comparison to the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus.
We have had Moto G Play edition Smartphone in the past with the Moto G4 Play. However, the Play edition for the Moto G5 was given a pass last year.
Talking about the GeekBench listing, the Moto G6 Play will run an octa-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 chipset with 3GB RAM. The software will be Android 8.0.0 Oreo and as for other Moto devices, the device should provide a close-to-stock Android interface experience.
Earlier rumors suggest that the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus will feature an 18:9 display and a dual-camera setup in the rear, pretty much like the Moto X4.
Also, leaks supported by Alibaba suppliers reveal that the fingerprint scanner placement for the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play will be in the rear whereas the Moto G6 Plus will have it on the front.
The Moto G6 series Smartphones are likely not the only ones that will be revealed at MWC 2018. The Moto E5 2018, Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Plus is also rumored to have its unveiling at this event.
