Games are fun and a very good way to pass some time while doing something menial like waiting in a queue or sitting on the train to reach home from work. If you are one of the minimalists who like to live life clutter-free this list of the top minimalistic games you can play on Android would be a savior for you.
Best Android Minimalist Games
Who doesn’t know about 2048, the game is very easy to grasp but extremely hard to master. It is honestly one of the best minimalistic game there is on Android with fluidic transitions and a very easy concept behind the game.
All a player has to do is add 2 tiles with the same number to make a bigger number and keep playing until you either win or lose. Sounds easy right? We encourage you to give it a try. See for yourself how interesting and frustrating it can get. This game is one of my personal favorites.
Gyro is a very simple game to understand, and this simplicity may prove addictive. Essentially, the player has to control a circle in the middle of the screen, this circle is split into 3 colors. Different sized and colored balls come flying from anywhere and the player has to match the balls to the corresponding color on the wheel.
If you match wrong colored balls to a wrong section of the wheel, it will cause damage to the wheel and that causes the circle to lose life and if a certain section is completely depleted you lose the game. Pretty simple to understand surprisingly hard to master.
This game is as beautiful as it gets, extremely hard to master but very easy to understand, this is a pattern in these minimal games. Flappy bird the extremely addictive and hard to master game seems easy in front of the duet.
The essence of the game is that there are 2 balls attached to a circle and you have to maneuver the balls in such a way that they don’t hit any obstacles. You can touch on either side of the screen to rotate them clockwise or anti-clockwise, this isn’t a mindless game you can play without concentration as it requires a very active brain to play. Also, the soundtrack is trippy and amazing!
The name gives it all. In the stack, all you have to do is stack one tile above another. Sounds easy? Well, it isn’t. The tile keeps breaking into smaller and smaller pieces as you stack it incorrectly and as the height keeps increasing the difficulty level increases too.
It is a very easy and fun app that helps you concentrate and sharpens your brain, it’s a fun game to play in the 5-10 minute break between lectures or during lunch. Another personal favorite of mine, highly recommended.
With retro-looking graphics and easy to play interface crossroads is a great stress buster, it is also one of the best minimal games available on Android. The game is quite simple, all you have to do is tap on the screen and make the character jump and avoid obstacles, you can also move the character right or left by tapping on that side of the screen. A fun little game that never ends as long as you don’t lose, you should definitely give this a try.
A very fun little game which doesn’t take up a lot of data to download or store on your phone, the app is only 3 MB in size and is quite fun to play. You are the archer with your bow and arrow moving horizontally while you try to hit the bullseye on your target. It is a neat game to kill some time while bored. Do give it a try.
Pocket pool is for the people who love to play pool, the concept is pretty easy to grasp, all you have to do is pocket the ball in whatever table is given to you, it randomises the angles at which the pocket will be and as you level up keeps adding more obstacles to the table so it gets harder to take a clear shot.
Quite fun to pass some time, I personally play this game on a regular basis to pass some free time.
Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful games there have ever been on Android. Excellent minimal graphics and a mind-blowing background score coupled with an enticing storyline the game is a sure winner. Although it’s not free it is worth every penny of its asking price.
The main aim of the game is to get Ida the lead character of the game from point A to point B but it isn’t as simple as Ida encounters many obstacles in the way. This game is quite immersive and maybe not as easy as the others on the list but if you want something to keep your mind busy while your eyes are stunned by beautiful graphics this is the game for you.
With graphics resembling Monument Valley, skyward is a beautiful game which is actually quite hard to play. It is an endless climber game where the player has 2 circular disks which mimic the 2 human feets, the aim of the game is to make sure you click when the circle is on the ground and not in space or you immediately lose.
It’s a fun game to play and we say give it a try yourself, you will either love it or get frustrated and hate it but it definitely would be a lot of fun in either case. So go ahead and download it who are you waiting for?
Probably one of the more popular games on our list, the color switch is loved by many all across the globe.
The game is quite simple and easy to play, there’s a ball of varying color and you have to tap it and get it through the obstacle, the catch is that the obstacle is multicolored and the ball will burst if it touches another color. It is quite fun to play and we suggest you to definitely try it once.
So this was our list of the top minimal games you can play on Android, we hope you absolutely love these games and enjoy them as much as we do. If you have any other favorite game of your which isn’t featured here do let us know down in the comments.
