Yesterday there were reports of an upcoming Huawei P20 Lite with model number ANE-LX1 clearing FCC certification.
Apart from being a device in the “Huawei P” series, what made this device interesting is that the FCC detailing of the device revealed that the device will have a display with a notch at the top, like the Apple iPhone X.
The size of the display is also a bit longer at 19:9 ratio, which includes the notch as well.
Today we have a leaked image that reveals the front portion of possibly the Huawei P20 Lite.
The notch at the top discussed above is visible in the leaked image. Talking about the resolution of the display, the earlier FCC leak indicated to a 6.1-inch 2280×1080 pixel display.
The device will itself have dimensions of 148mm x 70mm and there will be a vertically aligned dual-camera setup in the rear. The battery capacity will be of 2900mAh and the charger supported will be a 2A adapter of 9Volts.
What’s interesting about the P20 Lite is that there is no fingerprint scanner in the FCC listing details.
The other two devices in the Huawei P20 lineup will be the Huawei P20 and Huawei P20 Plus. Both the devices will not be announced at MWC 2018 as previously expected as Huawei has already begun sending invites for a special launch event scheduled for 27 March 2018 where both these devices will be announced.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Plus will feature a three camera setup in the rear and will be the first devices to have such a setup. The third sensor in the rear will be for supporting hybrid zoom up to 5x. There will also be additional AI features that improve the image processing of the camera setup.
Unlike the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus, we expect the P20 Lite to be announced during the MWC 2018 event. What’s your say?
