5. Use The “Send All Calls To Voicemail” Feature On Your Android Phone

There’s a special trick on Android phones that can help combat block calls. It’s called the “Send All Calls To Voicemail” trick.

This trick only works once the number has already called you.

Once you get a call from a number that you don’t want to hear from anymore, here’s how you do the trick.

  1. Create a contact for blocked calls and name the contact something similar to “Blocked Numbers” so that you remember that this contact is specific to block callers.
  2. Under the contact, hit the pencil button in the right-hand corner. Then, tap the menu icon with three darts also in the right-hand corner and check the box next to “All calls to voicemail”.
  3. Once steps 1 and 2 are completed, start adding the numbers you want to block to your Blocked Numbers contact.

That’s all that you need to do!

Note: This step won’t specifically block your calls, but what it will do is to send them directly to your voicemail. Most scammers, telemarketers, and solicitors don’t leave voicemails, especially if your phone doesn’t even ring which is a sign that you’ve already realized that their number is a scam.

Bonus Tip: Want To Know Who Is Calling You?

Do you want to make sure the number that is calling you isn’t important before you block it? Or perhaps you want to try to see who owns the phone number before you hit the block button.

There is one quick method that can show you who owns a number and it involves performing a reverse phone lookup.

Performing a reverse phone lookup only takes a minute, and by doing a quick search you and get correct answer to “who’s calling me” if the information is available.

Our favorite reverse phone lookup website? That title goes to National Cellular Directory, which has a free daily Happy Hour.

If no information is pulled up on the phone number after performing a reverse phone lookup, it’s probably okay to block the phone number. You can also do a Google search on a phone number to verify that it isn’t a business.
