The Nokia 8 is set to launch in the middle of August month, almost all specifications and features of the phone have been leaked before it’s official. Now the smartphone spotted on a benchmarking site Geekbench with unknown Heart code name and reveals its some specs. It’s running on upcoming Google’s Mobile operating system Android 8.0 (Android O), it looks like the Nokia 8 might be the first non-Google smartphone that runs on Android 8.0 OS.
According to the GeekBench, the Nokia 8 is powered by a Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset under the hood along with Octa-core CPU which clocks at 1.9 GHz. It has 4 GB of RAM on board and running on ANdroid O or Android 8.0. The smartphone scored 1,789 points on a single test and 6,494 points on multi-core test. It may possible that the listed Nokia 8 could be launched with ANdroid 7.1.1 Nougat and it could just be a test version of Android 8.0.
On the other side, there is no information about the display size, battery capacity, camera and other features on Geekbenck. According to rumors, The Nokia 8 is expected to come with a 5.3-inch display with 1440×2560 pixels of resolution and there will be the another 6 GB RAM variant. It will be packed with 3,000 mAh capacity battery inside the body and featured with a 13-megapixel camera on the back side from ZIESS Optics. It is expected to available in Silver, Blue and Gold color option. HMD is holding an event to launch the Nokia 8 smartphone along with Nokia 2 on Aug 16.
Previously, the smartphone appeared on Vodafone Romania website with EUR 517.42 price tag, if it is true, then the Nokia 8 will be directly competing with OnePlus 5.
