Motorola Moto Z2 force was initially launched in the US market on August 10th, 2017 and we expected it to launch in other markets like U.K and India pretty soon.

Today, Motorola finally launched Moto Z2 Force in India for Rs 34,999 that boasts of a shatter shield display that won’t crack when dropped from a height of 4 to 5 feet. All buyers will also get the TurboPower Pack Moto Mod, worth Rs 5,999, for free with the retail package.

Specifications And Features Of Moto Z2 Force

The main draw of the device is the shatter proof display that has a plastic layer over the AMOLED panel. This plastic layer increases the strength of the glass and makes it resistant to cracking under stress from moderate drops. The Moto Z2 Force has a 5-5inch Quad-HD AMOLED display measuring 2560×1440 pixels, it is the usual 16:9 display and not the trending 18:9 aspect ratio that anyone would expect from smartphones in 2018.

The back of the device is made of out 7000 series aluminum, this series of aluminum is widely used for Nokia smartphones too like Nokia 8. Renowned for their robust build quality, series 7 aluminum gives the phone some much-needed strength. The Z2 Force also comes with a water-repellent nano-coating. Like any other, flagship, It is running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with Adreno 540 GPU paired with 6 GB LPDDR4 RAM along with 64 GB of onboard storage.

Coming to optics, there are dual 12 MP cameras at the back using Sony IMX386 sensors coupled with a dual-LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP wide-angle sensor with the f/2.2 aperture as well as a dual tone dual led front flash- perfect for those late night selfies! Other features like Selective Focus, Selective Black, And White, Manual controls ( ISO, Focal length, White Balance ).

Following in the footsteps of Apple and Google, Motorola has ditched the headphone jack from its flagship smartphone. However, the company has supplied a 3.5mm to USB adapter that plugs into the USB-C port.

A 2,730 mah battery powers the device-well if you feel that it’s too low for a flagship device in 2018- Motorola has bundled a TurboPower Pack Moto Mod of 3,940 mah capacity. Added the combined battery backup is somewhere in the neighborhood of 6,220 mah.

The Z2 Force also includes Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, and a front-mounted Fingerprint sensor.

All sensors are available onboard: Fingerprint Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light, Gyroscope, Magnetometer, Barometer, Proximity, Ultrasonic, Audio Monitor.

Motorola Moto Z2 Force is priced at Rs 34,999 and will be made available exclusively on Flipkart and Moto Hub stores starting February 15 at 11:59 PM IST.

Going forward, we expect the premium segment to continue to grow by more than 20 percent,  both in terms of volume and value in 2018″, Shobhit Srivastava, research analyst at Counterpoint told Indianexpress.com. “This creates an opportunity for brands like Motorola to address the users in the segment looking for options beyond the top three. Motorola mods can provide an edge over its competitor, providing users with options to enhance their smartphone with suitable mods”, he adds.
